is everything from getting paid in advance to have products on consignment.
The first one is very safe and last one gives you very little security.
You
can give open credit, factoring, Cash against document, Documents against
Acceptance Letter of Credit and different types of bank guarantees. There
are also many times bank and government programs that can insure your payments.
You have to select what is most appropriate for the client and country.
Note however that a very secure payment can be good for you but limit your
distributors expansion. You have to evaluate which suits best in each case.
However, do not transfer your payment terms from home to a new country.
Investigate how things are working in just that country.
